Privacy Policy

MemoYou (“MemoYou,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Ohad Yaniv. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use memoyou.com, the MemoYou browser extension, and related services (together, the “Service”).

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account. We use this to create and identify your MemoYou account.

Content you save. The URLs, articles, notes, and PDFs you save to MemoYou, along with any highlights or notes you add to them.

AI-generated content. Summaries, tags, key insights, semantic embeddings, detected connections between articles, weekly reading memos, and chat messages that MemoYou generates from the content you save.

Billing information. Your subscription plan and a subscription identifier from our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details — those are handled directly by Lemon Squeezy.

Technical information. Standard server logs collected by our hosting provider (Vercel), such as IP address and request timestamps, used for security and reliability.

How We Use Your Information

• Provide the Service: save, extract, summarize, tag, and search your content
• Process payments and manage subscriptions
• Communicate with you about your account or the Service
• Maintain the security and reliability of the Service
• Improve MemoYou's features

AI Processing

To generate summaries, tags, chat responses, and detect connections, the text content of articles you save is sent to Anthropic (Claude). To power semantic search, that content is sent to OpenAI to generate embeddings. We do not permit these providers to use your content to train their models, and we only send what's needed to perform the specific AI feature you're using.

The MemoYou Browser Extension

The MemoYou extension for Chrome only reads the current tab's URL when you actively choose to save it — either by clicking the extension icon or using the right-click “Save to MemoYou” menu option. It does not track your browsing otherwise. The extension stores your login state locally in your browser and sends the saved URL to memoyou.com to be processed the same way as an article saved directly on the site.

Payment Processing

Subscription payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Their handling of your payment information is governed by Lemon Squeezy's own privacy policy.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in a hosted PostgreSQL database (Neon) and, for uploaded PDFs, in Vercel Blob storage. All traffic to MemoYou is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Data Retention

We retain your account and saved content for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at hello@memoyou.com and we'll process the request within 30 days.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@memoyou.com.

Children's Privacy

MemoYou is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

International Users

MemoYou is hosted in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above.
